“Praasad” is the shikhar of the temple of god — the pinnacle where the earthly meets the divine. Our name is our purpose: to raise that pinnacle, in stone.

Our legacy

A heritage craft, carried in the hand

Since 1975, Pradipbhai H. Sompura — Chairman & Managing Director of Praasad Stone Creation — has given his life to the sacred art of temple-making, raising shrines in the timeless traditions of Vaastu Shastra and Shilp Shastra.

Guided by these ancient sciences — design, proportion, orientation, measurement, and the sacred geometry of the shilpa texts — every temple is composed so that stone, space and spirit rise in perfect harmony with nature and the divine. It is a discipline of balance and grace, where a structure is elevated into a sanctum — and a sanctum into a seat of the gods.

For the House of Sompura, temple-building has never been mere enterprise. It is a hereditary art, a living legacy, and a sacred trust — borne through generations by the same devoted hands, the same unbroken faith, and the same reverence for the divine.

From the foundation stone to the crowning kalash, our temples are designed to stand entirely in stone — no iron anywhere — the way sacred structures have endured for a thousand years.

One of our landmark works in progress — a majestic marble temple dedicated to Bhavani Mata, honouring the legacy of Bhavani Mata and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Hand-carved in Makrana marble in the tradition of Vaastu and Shilp Shastra, without a single piece of iron.

Progress

A matter of great pride — in a single year, 33% of the stone carving and fitting has been completed. The entire project is advancing rapidly, with exceptional craftsmanship and quality.

A grand sandstone temple dedicated to Maa Khodal (Khodiyar Mata), hand-carved in Bansi Paharpur stone in the tradition of Vaastu and Shilp Shastra — from its ornate sabha-mandap and domed ceilings to the towering shikhar.

The challenge

A rare feat: the Mataji murti has been enshrined here for nearly 150 years — and the grand new temple was raised around it, without ever relocating the sacred idol.
